    Skim MIlk

Milk has a very high insulinemic index. If you drink a lot of it it increases the chances to gain fat.. If someone has a hard time gaining weight it's a good choice however.

    M1T or the real thing.

It must be something to take steroids.

    M1T or the real thing.

Very optainable? ####! What you want in fact is to loose 10lbs of fat and gain 22 lbs of muscle in something like 6 weeks of PH. Granted I don't know much about PH, but I really really doubt it's feasable.

    The science behind HST

I see what you mean. This study is interesting because it clearly shows a cumulation effect of the MGF and IGF-1, which reinforces the idea of "chronic" stimulus versus "acute" stimulus. It's also interesting because it seems to show that there is a optimum timeframe to...

    The science behind HST

I don't really understand.. from these charts it seems that the MGF is still pretty high after 48h - about twice the normal. Chart B also shows that the best frequency for MGF production is 48h, which is contradictory with the fact that MGF should return to normal within 36-48h. Or did I get...

    SD & starting

Theoritically no. You muscles have protected themselves again the stress that your 3RM or so puts on them. Anything that producess a smaller mechanical strain is unlikely to work. However, it is possible that there is a minimal optimum TUT/load combination. Under 5 reps, it becomes less cost...

    The science behind HST

Not necessarily. Your level of fitness increases when you train. You tend to recover faster and faster. Also, it is possible that your CNS also becomes more resistant to training. So your say 4 sets of 5s at the end may not be much more stressful than your 2 sets of 15 at the beginning. The...

    test boosters during SD

I've heard on some forums that some people seem to have had some effect with tribulus. I don't really know. But for sure 6-OXO is more effective. The problem here is that at some point you reach a limit in terms of growth. This might be because you can't decondition more. For someone in that...

    test boosters during SD

Well the purpose of these products is to boost testosterone. It probably cannot hurt to have more testosterone while deconditionning. From what I read, tribulus boosts testosterone by about 50% and 6-OXO by 200%. That's very significant, especially the 6-OXO.

    test boosters during SD

I don't think it is.. But even if it were, could these products enable to lengthen the SD?

    test boosters during SD

Has anyone tried to use products like tribilus and 6-OXO to increase testosterone levels during the SD, to loose less muscle and strength? I know that theoritically you're not supposed to loose mass during the sd but I always loose a little bit..

    workout rest time

Not true. You can load a muscle before it has finished recovering, for hypertrophy at least.

    Vince Gironda

Indeed it is close to HST. I had heard that some guys were training 3 weeks on/1 off back in those days but I didn't know that Gironda did that. Did you try it?

    Vince Gironda

I guess that if you do a lot of sets with little rest between you deplete more glycogen so you get more glycogen supercompensation. Not to say that there is no real growth of course. Regarding your remarks on HST you have to understand the entire theory. I can make a few remarks on each point...

    Nutrition During Strategic Deconditioning

Eat at maintenance during your SD. Don't decrease proteins.

    carb cycling and HST

Here is how I combine carb cycling with HST. It works relatively well: I do 3 days low carb, 1 day high carb. Here is how it goes exactly: Low carb: - day 1 : HST workout + 2h of low intensity cardio in 2 shots. - day 2 : HIIT + 2h of low intensity cardio in 2 shots. - day 3: HST workout + 2h...

    smith machine or classic barbell

I agree with o&g.. Try do do dumbell presses. And when the load is becoming too heavy switch to the smith.. it will be safer. In any case I suggest you use the smith machine only when safety is a concern, as it is not very good for the joint because the movements are not natural - squat for...

    CNS and muscle

Ok then.. ;) There's also the idea that you condition more slowly to heavier loads. If that's true, it may allow a smaller TUT to still be effective.

    CNS and muscle

But in the basic HST, you don't increase the number of sets over the course of the cycle. You do 2 sets all the time. So you divide by 3 the TUT. If keeping TUT constant was an important part of HST it wouldn't be the case. From what I understand, in HST, you do the minimum of TUT/volume to...

    CNS and muscle

If it works the same when on gear I'd say yes. It's a good thing that you checked that with Blade for sure.
