Pea Protein Isolate!

Anyone had any experience with this supplement? Am just noting how incredibly cheap I've found it compared to whey protein... just wondering if it's still a viable source of protein and that's its actually going to be metabolised as protein in the body haha.

I know there are debates on complete vs incomplete proteins, some saying it ultimately doesn't matter if it's either, and still counts towards your total daily protein requirements...

Ugggh....

Haha yeah that would be tough to down.. fair enough! I could add a boatload of choc syrup or something but still may not go down well, chew my way through it...

I still wonder about its effectiveness nutritionwise and if it still "counts". May have to do a bit of research..

I don't think that part matters so much as long as you are getting enough protein overall.

But if you decide to give it a shot, only buy a small amount to try out first.

I'm sure it 'counts'.... the more 'perfect' a protein is, the more you get to 'keep' of course, but it's probably not really that much difference in effect in reality I bet.

Yeah good points, cheers fellas, just protein is one thing I don't get enough of with all the myriad of different training I do, and this seemed a cheaper alternative for me at the moment.

Bulk, unflavoured whey is very economical.

Yeah now that you mention it I just found 5kg of WPC for $84, and that's flavoured, the unflavoured is cheaper. So that's not much more than the cheapest pea protein I found.

I used to buy whey in 5kg lots, so this may be an option if it's not much more than pea protein :). Cheers

@Jester I just ordered 5kg whey protein on the e-to-the-bay for $65.02! Let me know if you want the link and the discount voucher ;). And that was for flavoured, their unflavoured WPC would come to $58.25 total!

Shipping and country?

Concentrate or isolate?

Free shipping and yep it's Aus hence why I gave ya a shout out, they're in Brisbane.

It's actually a WPI/WPC blend, which is strange as the price is awesome... and it's not a massgainer with extra carbs etc.

PM sent :)
