Wungun's Lifting And Eating Log

Stop weighing yourself everyday, dude. It's only going to affect you mentally.

You're going to grow and get stronger at any rate as long as you follow the progression that has been laid out for you and eat. Don't over think it, especially at this point. Just do.

Nothing wrong with daily weighings...
It was likely just the worm infestation I shat out. Lol
I want to make sure I average 1lbs a week, hence the daily scale ritual.
I don't want to step on the scale once a week and see that I'm suddenly up 6lbs from last week! And then make adjustments to my calories, then start over again. Daily monitoring is cool...
:)

I just read it the other day.... What did I miss?
2 days a week is pretty low frequency while trying to keep the volume inline.
If I were doing full body workouts instead of splits, what would you tell me then?? 3 days a week or 2?

3 days a week if you were doing full body.

4 days a week if you are doing a split and are at the stage you are in.

Higher frequency is for more advanced trainees who aren't in the position you are in to put on massive amounts of lean mass.

Doing too much is counterproductive. You need to lift as few days as possible, do zero cardio and no lifting of any kind of your off days, stuff your face and repeat that for three cycles. And avoid getting more pinworms.

Lol @ pinworms!

Advanced or not, I think it's notoriously difficult for me to put on muscle, nutrition not withstanding. I think I'm a good candidate for high frequency...
And I'm not getting any younger! Lol
Okay... Upper/lower/day off, upper/lower/day off....
If I don't put on "massive amounts of leans mass" I'm gonna come looking for you! :P

It used to be notoriously difficult for me to put on muscle too. I'm the ideal person for you to be listening to right now. Just so you know, everyone who has followed my plans has made huge gains, unless they didn't follow the plans. One dude on this site a while ago let me coach him for a period of time and basically made the best gains of his life before he quit doing what I had outlined for him do to a case of fuckarounditis.

Seriously, why haven't they passed a law yet that people must follow my advice, disobedience punishable by death.

With regards to the pinworms, remember to dose yourself two weeks after the initial dose to get any eggs that might have hatched in the interim. Also, wash all your bedding, anything you touched, etc, or you can consume the eggs and become reinfected. The eggs can also float in the air if you shake out your bedding or bathroom rugs, etc. So don't do that without sanitizing all that stuff first.

Okay... Sold! I'm gonna give it my all Totz... If anyone is worth listening to, it's the Yoda of HST!
Besides, what the hell else am I gonna do this winter!

I redosed again just tonight... 3 days apart. Pharmacist was pretty iffy on whether 1 dose would be enough...
Washed the bedding, vacuumed and disinfected everywhere, and paying particular attention to hand hygiene now.
Kicked the dog outta the bed too.... He's not impressed.

You are very far from an ideal candidate for high frequency.

Your issue is diet, not training.

I'm still only going to target a 1lbs gain per week. Given a 300-500cal daily surplus, I'd like to see somewhere around 1.25lbs to 1.5lbs, the 0.5lbs hopefully being pure muscle. With that being the case, I promise I won't freak myself out if I'm 6 or 7lbs up the first month. :D

The ideal high frequency trains compounds exclusively, barring any strength-associated weakpoints or structural imbalances. He/she eats like a bottomless pit. They reduce per bout training volume. They're already developed in terms of size, strength and work capacity in absolute terms.

Today's weight: 158.2lbs (+0.6lbs for the week.)
(+0.6lbs total)

I'll log weekly gains in brackets and total gain as well.

Today's weight: 159.6lbs (+1.4lbs)(+2lbs)

Notes: New 10rm PR's on all lifts except pull up's. Struggled with those today.
BP however, was feeling GOOD! I have room to push higher, as evidenced by the cluster reps.

Added extensions as per Totz recommendations...
Will move abs to leg day at start of 5rm's.

Slight adjustment to calorie intake (-300)
