What actually is hypertrophy?

    Hypertrophy means overgrowth or enlargement. For example, a muscle will hypertrophy with constant strenuous exercise (i.e. what we are all here for :D ) .
    Hypertrophy is the opposite of atrophy, which was Neo's condition on leaving the Matrix [​IMG] .

    I guess instead of Hypertrophy-Specfic Training, it could be called Growth-Specific Training.

    hyper: in excess
    trophi: food

    Free translation: excessive feeding, the result of excessive feeding :)
