Pure Ephedrene product?

I just got a product called Pure Ephedrene. It says it is an alkaloid extract. On the supplement fact list it lists it as having 325mg of Ephedra Extract. This seems to be way more than what I've seen in other products (25mg is the usual I think) which leads me to believe it is not as potent per mg. Am I right in assuming that? I've read that 100mg is the maximum you should take in a day. So my question is how much of this is equivalent to 10mg of the more potent products?

I broke it in half and it tasted like black licorice and took half with 100mg of caffeine and I notice the stimulant effect, which I think is more than if I had just taken the caffeine. I'm hoping it's not some kind of fake product that I've been snookered with.

Thanks,
Andy

The first red flag is the name. It is called Pure Ephedrene, but then the label says it uses an ephedra extract and doesn't list what it is standardized for (i.e. how many milligrams of ephedra per capsule. If it had 325 mg of Ephedrine per serving, there is a good chance we would be reading your obituary, being a safe dose per day is no more than 100 mg. My guess is that they used Ma Huang as the ephedra source (not ephedrine) and failed to mention that as to try and make their product sound more hardcore.

Ephedra extract is normally around 8-10% active which means your tablets have between 26-32.5mg of active ephadrine which is about the right level when added to Caffiene and Aspirin at the right levels.
