Anyone know about Metformin and its usage in bodybuilding? All I seem to find is articles about diabetes and its use.
It increases your insulin sensitivity but thats about all I know.
And yes I am Forty and FAT

but don't have diabetes.
 
thanks for the reply - I'll let you know in a month if it does anything for me as am taking it now.
 
From memory metformin does not directly increase insulin sensitivity, but it increases glucose disposal (indiscriminantly between muscle and fat) which can reduce insulin and increase sensitivity.

Waste of time for normal people , good for diabetics

I have tried it several times.

The only time it arguably had an effect on my physique is when I stacked it with glyburide, and I gained a little fat (although the combination made my veins stick out like crazy in weird places).

It really will do you NO good.

I've tried it at normal dosages. I've tried it at semi-dangerous dosages. I've tried it bulking. I've tried it cutting. I've tried it with creatine and without. I've tried it with glyburide.

It will do you NO good.
