Creatine Cycling vs HST Cycle

Hey fellas...

I'm about to start Week 5 of my 7 week HST cycle and I have a sudden urge to begin a cycle of creatine, since I haven't consumed any in 6 weeks...

If I begin a creatine cycle in the next few days, it will carry through my 9-12 days of SD. Should I begin taking it now? Or should I wait until I start my next HST cycle? Just about every non-HST inspired lifter avoids taking a week off--therefore not much has been written on the subject of creatine consumption during an off week. I know some of you guys might not even cycle creatine but stay on it permanently. I know, I know--creatine is in your food etc etc...but unless you are eating 5 steaks a day, which most of us aren't, you are not intaking the same amount of creatine through food as you would through supplementation. Thoughts, opinions, recommendations?

Creatine has been shown to help preserve gains after training stops for long periods of time.

I would suggest taking it now and continuing through SD.
