Is it alright to do standing(Gastrocnemius) AND seated calf raises(Soleus) in the same workout 3x's per week? Or should they be alternated? Why?
 
The reasoning behind my question is to find out that, if by doing the standing calf raise, would it hinder doing the seated exercise or vice versa?
 
One exercise shouldnt hinder the other because the gastroc crosses the knee joint and the soleus does not. Therefore when you do seated CR's, you effectively "take out" the gastroc and work the soleus.
