I think the angle makes it look worse than it is, but i'll pay a bit more attention to it next deadlift session. Good to have you back @Jester
 
Havent posted in a while... been having a bit of a family crisis. Unfortunately my younger brother decide to end his own life a couple of weeks ago which hit me pretty hard so training has taken a bit of a back seat. Managed a few sessions here and there but more as therapy and an outlet for my emotions than anything productive.

Still going to compete in 2 weeks time as I know my brother would give me a hard time of I pulled out.

So this mornings session I managed;

170kg x3 x2 sets @7rpe

Comp Bench
142.5kg x1 @8rpe
140kg x3 @10rpe
130kg x3 x2 sets @8rpe

Like the cliches go I suppose it will get easier with time, and life goes on and all that. Had the Funeral Tuesday so can start re building and moving on. Still pretty painful at the moment though :(

Been trying to train when I can and still going to compete in a couple of weeks. Weight training is a bit like life, no matter how heavy it gets you just got to keep on pushing.

Attempt 1 - 180kg
Attempt 2 - 192.5kg
Attempt 3 - 202.5kg

Bench
Attempt 1 - 140kg
Attempt 2 - 150kg
Attempt 3 - 157.5kg (would be PR)

Deadlift
Attempt 1 - 220kg
Attempt 2 - 235kg
Attempt 3 - 247.5kg

Goal total - 607.5kg

May change depending on how the openers feel. At the start of prep I had planned on hitting the 620kg total needed for British qualification.
