4 am/Pm workouts instead of 3

I dont understand why for HST, we only do 3 workouts. Why after the 3 rd workout we rest for 2 instead of just 1 day? If i do 4 AM/PM workouts a week, instead of 3, and resting 1 day after each, would that be beneficial or bad?
 
THat's prefectly fine. You just don't load on the second day because your muscles need to recover. THeres much talk on the forum from 4x to 12x a week. As long as you can manage the fatigue it is fine to increase frequency which is argueably better with protein synthesis, nutrition partitioning and a whole humdinger of things.

yes doing am pm splits will be benficial as long as you can keep progressing and junk.

I prefer working out every other day instead of 3 days a week. It ends up being 4 days one week then 3 the next. I don't think it is necessarily better than 3 a week... and sometimes an extra day of rest can be a good thing. If it works better for you then do it.
