    Eating Clean vs Eating 'dirty'

This is slightly off topic. Everyone here seems to be off the opinion that a calorie is a calorie and that the total calories consumed will determine the fat/musclegain ratio. Does eating a diet which is low in EFA's and high in GI meals encourage more fat gain than a diet which is high in...

just for curiousity....what are the 15s doing??

You need to re-read the theory behind HST. After your SD (strategic deconditioning) you muscles will be suitably deconditioned to the training stimulus and consequently a 'light' load will be sufficient to produce a growth stimulus. ps yeah you feel a bit silly sometimes with the first weights...

    barbell or dumbbell?

Its no contest, stick with dumbells - You train each side of your body equally, your dominant arm doesn't take over - Better for stabilisers and synergists - YOU can do more weight! - It doesn't hurt! The best exercise for HST is the one that lets you put the most load on your arms, try...

Had to cut back to 2x week

Hey josheph. I would advise you to workout 3 times per week. Frequency should come before volume in your routine. Personally, I only do one set and have increased the frequency up to every day-never getting sore!- with excellent results! Take care :D
