    REducing sets=smaller muscles?

I dont see why you should try and keep up with the 30 sets per week. If you do a proper Strategic Deconditioning there is no reason why you should have to revert back to bad habits. If your going to train HST train HST. I would'nt try to blend it with your old routine simply because thats what...

    The Deadlift

I've seen videos of guys deadlifting in competition and when they do the one rep they squat down to the ground before they pull the weight up off the ground. When performing Semi-Stiff legged Deadlifts or Romanian Dead lifts for reps you generally don't squat down to the floor every rep right...

Does HST work on a split routine?

You could try it if you split the body in half and train 6 days a week. But the way you are stating it is the complete opposite of HST. Joe G

HST Principle "Don't train to Failure"

I have a few problems with this thread: First of all Just because someone asks WHY something is true doesn't mean they dont believe it is true. Secondly Fausto in that whole excerpt from the ebook which i have read many times this is the only sentence that actually relates to the hamma's...

    Bench set up

In most of the Bill Star and Single Factor articles I have read they are real touchy about changing the routine around. If you are looking to pick up strength I really dont see why you would not want to bench press. I'm not sure if you misunderstood what Aaron said or if I am misunderstanding...

    Single Factor Training

Aaron F Aaron, Do you think that single factor is effective in building mass (hypertrophy) as well as strength? I sort of got the impression that you felt single factor is designed for strength gains without getting bigger. Joe G
