    Idea...and opinion needed

I'm in agreement with jvroig on this one. Just stick to the principles. Train each bodypart 3-4x a week, progress the load every or every other workout, drop the reps significantly enough when you're near your limits to allow the load to increase, and decondition or deload in order to reduce the...

May I throw away biceps and triceps exercises?

Squats and deads are not necessary to build the physique many desire. I am an advocate of them, but they're not the only route one can take. HST isn't a shortcut, by any means. The dedication and hard work still has to be put in. If it's not, the results are just as nominal as any other...

    Still doing arm isolations?

Yep. Get a sponsor, have good genetics, learn to pose, make sure your diet is perfect, and inject away! No good knowledge of training is needed. Look how they train in the first place. Unless, of course, you consider that "good knowledge".

May I throw away biceps and triceps exercises?

In the sense of metabolic work, then yes, isolation exercises are useful. I agree that I'll never feel a burn in my biceps from heavy parallel rows or weighted chinups. Then again, I only train in the 3-5 rep range for the time being, so I don't get a burn anywhere.

    Casein

Any meat will be a slow digesting protein. Lean ground beef, steaks, turkey, chicken, fish of any kind, or lamb. Mix and match. Throw in some wholewheat pasta or toast and BBQ sauce, cover your fish or chicken in lemon, use some tobasco sauce - in short, be creative. You can easily get in slow...

    Maintaining Caloric Intake

I plan it out seriously before I start any training plan. Once I have a good feel for where all my calories or coming from, I learn what meals can be subbed in for "equal value". I'm strict with laying it out, but then when it comes time to follow it, I'm very leinent. I'm bulking now...

    Loaded Stretching Question

From what I've been reading lately on these boards in both older and more recent posts, loaded stretching is recommended if one wishes to maximize their hypertrophy. I know Dante/DC utilizes an extreme stretching method, and I know Jules is a pretty avid advocate of this. 1) Where are the...

How Do You Feel After Your Workout?

It depends, but on the whole I'm pretty drained and glad to wrap it up, but I feel accomplished. Shortly after my pulse slows and I cool down, I grow very hungry. Sometimes I'm horny for awhile after my training, but that all depends on whether or not my mistress is around. I've never once...

    Growth Plate Fusion

Amen to that. Luckily, I managed to land at 6' tall, and still get dubbed a "lady killer". Some day, though, that name's gonna get me into trouble...

    Still doing arm isolations?

"Not everyone can be a pro with mass quanties of drugs and dedication." You're right, I forgot something. They also need to be genetically gifted. Outside of that, little is needed. You don't need any great degree of training knowledge to grow massive when you're injecting so much...

May I throw away biceps and triceps exercises?

I would guess it also depends on a person's form with certain exercises. If you bench with your elbows tucked and close to your sides, you'll utilize your triceps more than someone who uses a much wider (and also much more dangerous) style of benching. This could be why some try dropping...

    Still doing arm isolations?

No one should be pointing to pro bodybuilders as a way to justify what they do in the gym. Pro BBers have a horrible understanding and application of training knowledge. They just have really good cycles and strict diets. Run the test of ten men and you too can be that big, provided you have...

    Don't want to start anything

Even assuming your method does work for natural trainees (this is still a key thing), HST is a much easier way to go about it. It's like a shortcut. You can't argue with results, this is true. However, why take the longer, bumpier road if you don't have to? Of course, some of us have a bit of...

    Don't want to start anything

Uh, soreness isn't an indicator of a bout of training's efficacy, number one. That's why many guys go without getting sore, while getting bigger. If you take 45 minutes to train arms alone, that's pathetic. Either you're waiting 4-5 minutes between sets, or you're going overboard with volume...

    Don't want to start anything

Vince, you seemed sensible enough until you decided to turn to using pro bodybuilders as ways to advocate high volumes and discredit less sets as advised with HST. You do realize that these morons run the test levels of ten men, and that cows are given the same thing and manage to grow by simply...

Planning on doing my first ever strength cycle...

Hm, if one tweaked HST as Aaron mentioned, to go for strength, then would a period of SD be necessary or even recommended? After all, that wouldn't help much in terms of strength. I would think one could either hop into a new cycle straight off, or take a week or two of lighter or specialization...

    Don't want to start anything

"What really bothers me is that so many dispute things instead of trying, collectively, to find the truth. I am amazed at my progress lately." Aren't you doing the same thing with HST, Vince?

    best mass building for arms

Significantly loading the muscle will lead you to be bigger, provided you eat properly. That being said, increase your weights in the flat bench press, standing military press, bentover row (parallel to floor), chinup, and deadlift. You'll have bigger arms. Worry not, about the isolations, my son.

    Squat Form

"originally prepared and posted by Arioch and Spatts at elitefitness.com: The Squat The squat should be a standard exercise in any lifters program. Whether the goal is strength, hypertrophy (increase in muscle size), increased accelerative ability, or a heightened vertical jump, the...
