    volume confusion

corv, the volume is decreasing over time because the load is getting higher, so you will naturally be unable to lift so much, but 3 sets during the 15's and 10s is a good bit especially during the end of each rep scheme, I think that's why bodyguard said if you have a lot of energy. I can pull...

    Question about Cutting

Colby I remember Aaron saying something about that too, is this true only for pre + post workout? or does it apply in general whenever you eat? pzhang

    Question about Cutting

I think the point of High GI carb preworkout is to give you the quick access carb energy for the workout. I think the calories burned during the workout will all come from whatever you had just eate (protein shake + high GI carb) and the calories lost from fat come from the residiual affects of...

    your results with HST...

lookin good lance, hard to follow up behind you . well. I've been on HST for about a year and a few months now. I've gained a total of 50 lbs, no idea how much lean vs fat, but very much so lean mass. from a tiny 165lbs at 6 9 to a decent 210-215ish lbs at 6 10 now. I'm biggger and fuller than...

    Question about Cutting

Spyke you got it. You would just increment the usual until you hit some failure point with your negs and then repeat. I like to increase the frequency a whole bunch towards the beginning of a cut cycle while eating a maintenance level. then as the weeks go by and the weights get higher, i...

A New and Unique Training Method is Here

Jester, I think the way to implement ACIT with HST is something along the lines of trying the short range of motion with increased tension during the middle of each cycle, preferably where you are around 40-60% of that RM rep range? I have no idea. I got lost through the first page, I'm still...

    Proper wat to SD ?

don't lift weights for 2 weeks. if thats too long then make it 1 week. the longer you stop lifting weights/ heavy things in general the more deconditioned you will be, the more response you will get from lighter loads and better results from hst and etc etc etc.

Can training with limited range of motion build

if the weight is heavy enough, the range of motion can be reduced but still cause hypertrophy if you keep incrementing the weights, but I think it's subjective you how heavy you need to go while reducing range of motion. So yes, you can gain lean mass following HST principles with short range of...

    Totally discouraged by HST

the proposed routine has the 15s in the beginning mostly for priming the joints for heavier weights. so what you could do there is just any type of light workout that increase metabolic fatigue. the main principle of HST is to be able to increment the weights and increment frequently. SO, what...

    10x-12x HST

during the 5s and post 5s because the metabolic fatigue is low during that time. also because you have less tut during the 5s it is easier to manage high freq unlike if you were doing high freq with the 15s where tut is much higher = more fatigue = more susceptible to burnout and inability to...

HST Principle "Don't train to Failure"

I think it has to do with rate coding. I learned a little bit of this in psychology so if I'm off let me know. Basically your central nervous system sends neuro impulses to a neuron which is connected to a muscle fiber, myofibrial? Now when the actual impulses are fired, they are fired in bursts...

    Time under tension how slow?

mmmm...... I think there was a discussion on how TUT is important to begin with 15s and 10s for metabolic fatigue, but as you get into the 5s they are less important because of the greater load itself. So... I think the effects on gains are marginal as long as you are able to achieve the goals...

MSP + diet for cutting phase

sorry guys I'm not sure if i'm allowed to post the routine up, but as soon as viscious gets back i'll ask him if i can put it up. For now just PM me and i'll show you a quick run down that he gave me. pzhang

MSP + diet for cutting phase

After about 4 weeks of a shortened HST cycle, I've gained about a good solid 10 lbs now weighing in at 195-198. Viscious has already explained the MSP technique to me with the PR zones and all, but I'm not sure if I was suppose to keep it under wraps or something. Havent seen him around, but if...

alternate A/B split evrday VS fullBbdy split

A/B splits can be upper then lower, or even full body A/B splits( different excercies fullbody for A and B). The doctor probably was using his knowledge of traditional training, high volume, training close to failure and all that stuff. So in essence by creating an A/B split will increase the...
