I would suggest that you try to use the same or similar heavy compound movements if you plan on continuing to use them in the future. Since it can take some time for neural adaptation for those exercises I wouldn’t want to drop them from my program for an 8-12 week cycle + 2 SD periods and then pick them up again. For example I’m always going to keep some form of Dead Lift, Squat, Bench and Pull/Chin Up in my routine.
