    Creatine

Other than it not mixing well, is there any other reason to avoid the non-micronized creatine? I accidentally bought some. (There's always a big pile of it at the bottom of the glass that won't mix. This made me wonder if it gets to where it needs to go once it's in my system.)

    I think I overestimated a few weights..

In the beginning I was pretty paranoid about the failure thing, but in my experience, I haven't seen any real world problems arising from the occasional failure set. Just my experience; I imagine everyone responds a bit differently, though. Incidentally, stan, I do both squats and SLDLs every...

    a few quick Negatives Qs

If you can hang some extra weight on yourself (ankle weights or whatever) and use a step stool for the concentric, then dips and pull-ups (or is it chin-ups?  palms facing away from you) become your best friends during negatives.  Generally you can (as you said) do one hand at a time for other...

    Customizing HST

Mmmm double d ... Sorry DKM, didn't mean to leave anyone out, but I think there's only supposed to be four faces in my metaphor. ;) I'll come up with a more inclusive one next time.

Ohhhhh. Are you still on an incline?? Sorry, if I'm being really dense -- I'm not that bright. :) But I do smile a lot. (Many of us who are not that bright use this technique. :) )

    Customizing HST

I think I've seen them done, although they were suggested as an exercise for the posterior delts. Is that not right? Also, I'm not sure that I understand why incline lateral raises will work better than regular lateral raises. Can you elucidate? Would you lower the dumbells sort of behind you...

    Customizing HST

There doesn't seem to be much one can do for shoulders -- in particular the medial delt. You mentioned incline lateral raises, though. How would that work, and do you have any other suggestions for getting the most growth out of this (personally) lagging area? With all of us suddenly hitting...

    diet questions (again)

You really want to be sure not to go below maintenance on your off days, though. Diet can really make or break your success, so I suggest being very disciplined about tracking your calories. Don't just guess at what your maintenance needs are or how much you are eating on a given day. Jot it...

Inclined bench press vs regular b press

Please forgive my ignorance, but I don't understand how bench presses will hurt the rotator cuff. Also, as long as I'm asking, what are the best exercises for protecting/strengthening this region -- are we just talking about rear delt exercises or something more specific? Thanks in advance.

    Whey Protein Only

Since Bryan won't self-promote this way, allow me to suggest his Driver protein powder. Its specifically designed for slow absorption and, it turns out, is quite tasty mixed with milk. :)

    Flax Seed Oil

I take a tablespoon per day of flax. Never had any problems like what mr. nasty described, although I've been told that it can go bad pretty easily. If that happens, I suppose all bets are off.

lower carbs as one gets closer to genetic limit?

Have you decided to maintain instead of pursue more mass? How do you know you are close to your genetic limit? If you are, then eating fewer carbs will not help you to continue growing. If you think you are near your genetic limit because you are no longer growing, then you are probably...

    Complex vs. simple carbs.

Oh, and yes, you definitely have to play around with your calories to find the best balance for your body, lifestyle, etc. Formulas and guidelines only get you in the right neighborhood, its up to you to find the right address.

    Complex vs. simple carbs.

I have discovered that, for me, using complex carbs and avoiding trans fats etc, makes a huge difference. My diet used to include some simple sugars and a bit of the "bad" fats and I used to gain weight just fine. The problem was that a good portion of it was fat that had to be...

    overeating (for size) + exercise

The only benefit that I know of is that exercise (even cardio) is anabolic, providing calorie intake is sufficient. I think that this is the reason for combining overeating with some cardio to limit fat accumulation.

    Anyone use Primer/Driver

While I agree about the taste when mixed with water (more with the primer than the driver), both are quite tasty when mixed with milk. (Perhaps strawberry would be a better flavor for primer? I used to use strawberry flavored Designer whey protein and the taste was pretty palatable.)...
