Only thing mentionable: Bench: warmup, then 210lb x 4, x 2 (failed 3rd rep, almost had it), x 2, x 2 Didn't feel comfortable squatting heavy today with no spot. Played around with some rowing movements to use after my SD.

    Leonardopm's Bulking Log

I'm certain you could pull a lot more than 102kg considering the amount of time you've been training and that your squat has almost the same 1RM. Deadlift is the type of movement where you might think you're near max but in reality the bar is moving a lot faster than you think.

I know you're a fan of snatch-grip Pendlays. I tried standard Pendlays today for the first time for a while using my bench grip (thumb-length distance from the ends of the smooth middle of bar) and 205lb for reps didn't feel that bad but I did feel like I was losing a-hold of the bar at the top...

Lifting Goals & Personal Record Log

    Did Sumo DL 400lb x 2, x 2, x 2, x 2, x 1 today. First time using 400lb for work sets so I'd consider this a milestone. Gonna test 1RM after next week's deload. Think I'm closing in on 180lb.

Bench: warmup, then 210lb x 3 (failed 4th rep) what the fuck. Had some athletic tape on my hand covering the ripped callous. Could have made a difference. First 2 reps felt like nothing, third rep hard, fourth rep fail. Hopefully the week of 65-70% will fix this before PR attempt or I'm...

per: throwing in accessory sets for strength endurance. After clustering up to ~10 reps (@90%, which I've been doing 3 days a week per your instruction), throwing in a set of two of bench or incline bench @ around 80% 1RM? I wish it were psychological but it the bar doesn't go up. This has...

Well I do a low bar squat and a lot of people tend to stop at/just after parallel with a low bar squat, especially if their stance is wide. Mine is narrow, however, though I'm thinking about bringing out my stance a bit. In terms of changing, I don't know...I believe my deadlift has greatly...

210lb x 4.5...ALMOST had 5 reps. Will deload volume this week and then try again next week. Squat 275lb x 3. Didn't try a 4th rep. Will deload volume, bring out the stance a bit, and then try 270lb x 5. Disappointing, granted I didn't sleep well and squat was basically ATG...

Bench: warmup, then 215lb x 2, 205lb x 2, 185lb x 6 Incline Bench (tried for the first time in years): went up to 170lb and cranked out a couple of reps. Obviously stability and numbers will rapidly improve as coding does. Feels more stable than flat bench, probably because the seat height is...

    TangoDown's Vanilla HST Run

Bench (~90%): Did not go well. Huge problem unracking the weight this time since I brought my grip in. The rack is simply too fuckin' high. Gonna either need to find someone suitable to unrack the bar for me or gonna have to play around with lifting the hips off the bench to raise my body and...

Yeah, he's always had strong legs. Another friend of mine is 5'10, 165lb, and doesn't even weight train. Does P90X off and on for years but besides that, doesn't do shit. Yet he can walk into the gym and bench like 230lb. I don't fucking get it...

Experimenting with sleeping on my back as opposed to my stomach and cutting most liquid intake after dinner to lessen the number of times I wake up at night. Last night I managed to sleep 4 hours, and then 3 hours, and then 2 hours, which is much better than usual, when I'm doing blocks of like...

    TangoDown's Vanilla HST Run

I'll definitely be attempting 200kg. I suppose I'll do something like 365lb, 385lb, 405lb, 420lb, 440lb, and if I can lock out 440lb cleanly and it doesn't feel like an absolute max effort, try anywhere from 450lb to 460lb. 165lb in 8 months is insane for somebody already pulling in the...

    TangoDown's Vanilla HST Run

So you're usually taking 20-30lb between increments. So we have a similar approach, though noted that a 20lb increment between say 550lb and 570lb is a smaller % than a jump between say 420lb and 440lb. But my CNS is younger than yours and I'm notably weaker so I'd surmise less work would be...

    TangoDown's Vanilla HST Run

Gym has no safety pins so squatting for a 1RM is sort of out of the question unless I can find a suitable spot. At least with a 5RM I'll fail coming out of the hole. Having never had 3+ plates on my back, if I trip or crumple over there's nowhere for the bar to land but on top of me. Bench...
