    I'd have to agree with chiefhog. I've quit doing iso's for arms and my arms are growing better than ever. If you want big arms do dips for triceps and palms-up close-grip chins for biceps. It's a killer combination.

    What exercises are you doing? Shoulder presses, deadlifts, upright rows, laterals, or any similar exercises all work the traps to some extent and, if you aren't use to doing them, will cause soreness initially.

    If casein takes so long to reach the bloodstream, that defeats the purpose of having aminos available within the "golden" hour or two or however long post-exercise. Any experts to convince me otherwise?

    Can someone explain why the whey should be taken before and the casein after?! That seems backward- it seems to me that you would want a slow trickle of aminos in your system before from the casein and a sudden surge of aminos from the whey after when they are needed most.

    Yeah, I'm now using stevia, even though there are also some concerns over it's use. Also researching something called erythitol which comes from fruit and grains and may be even better than stevia as far as health concerns go.

    You're right Rain. I always check the ingredients on the protein powder I buy. The ON Whey I'm currently using has acesulfame K and sucralose. I'm going to switch to their Natural Whey which doesn't have either.
