How many carbs are needed in a diet to maintain...

Zoomz, that was actually the piece of info that Bryan stated that I was trying to find. Thanks! I knew I didn't have to worry about glycogen depletion when working out on a more "normal" level. It was just one of those questions that peeked my attention. It made me think what the...

How many carbs are needed in a diet to maintain...

Pretty much what the question asked :D. This is directed more towards working out using a routine like HST, and not a program directed around glycogen depletion/supercompensation like the UD2. I know this will be depended upon factors like an individuals weight, but we'll use examples.

    High Carb vs. High Fat

I also agree that calories are probably the most important factor as I've seen this myslelf as well. What I'm wondering is how much carbs are enough to load the muscles close to or at normal levels of glycogen storage? I am saying this referring more to a diet when using HST not the UD2. The...

    HIIT training with HST?

Vicious, have there been any studies on the difference in subcutaneous fat reduction comparing intense cardio (like HIIT) vs. moderate cardio with keeping muscle mass in mind. I've looked over some articles regarding this on different sites. Some are decent, and some aren't so informative...

    The Ultimate Diet v2.0

I think it's a good program overall. Lyle explains the program thoroughly, and he knows his stuff. IMO it's less of a hassle to use more traditional routines. The UD2 is more mentally tough than anything else and takes dedication, but is plenty doable. If you want to get to a pretty lean...

    HIIT training with HST?

Normally before training with the goal being fat loss or weight gain I take in 15-20g of of protein and 30g or so of carbs. When doing HIIT on non-training days would the same pre-workout snack be fine, or do I need to change it a tad to maximize the benefits of HIIT?

Lifespan, Caloric Intake, and Weight on the frame

Well, the way I figure it is that being more muscular and being in the search for more makes me happy. I live a better life when Im happy. Maybe loads of muscle is not ideal for an extremely long life span but neither are the people that eat enormous amounts of saturated fatty foods, smoke...

    Synthol Use among professionals?

It amazes me how much Ernie's triceps are out of proportion. Either he has an incredible ability to grow large triceps or something's being put in them, but they still look weird. I saw a couple pics of him when he was in a contest(I think) with a more symmentrical physique and smaller...

    Should I use pro hormones???

I would say stay away from them as well. I too was thinking about doing a cycle of pro-hormones but realized it wasn't worth it for me to do so. When reading up on them I noticed that they can permanently cause the closure of growth plates in the body which could stunt any possible growth you...

    BMR

Was wondering the same thing myself! Hmm... I understand that muscle gain is pretty exciting and has it's benefits BUT if that machine is correct I would focus your nutritional needs to lower your bodyfat first. That is just my opinion though. Lowering your bodyfat % can be just as fulfilling...

Is there any precursors not on that list? Probably not but worth asking, maybe they missed one on accident ;).

    HST+Dieting: do they mix?

I'm deconditioning right now actually and I don't keep calories unually high. What do you mean by calorie upkeep levels? If you mean enough to maintain your weight during the break then that's the idea. I actually lower my maintenance calories during SD because I'm not getting as much...

I only feel my arm muscles

If you say you only feel the arm muscles contracting the most then you may actually benefit from letting the elbows flare out a little. I feel the long head of my triceps working much harder when my elbows are in compared to outwards. Letting them flare out somewhat seems to give me the best...

    My UD2.0 Experience...

People were wondering the same thing when I was doing the UD2 because the workouts during the depletion were pretty intense. I would definetely get those calories up where they should be as soon as you can. Most of the time I looked a bit different during the later part of the depletion...

    My UD2.0 Experience...

The good thing is that the UD2 still has progressive load. It may not be as gradual as HST but it's still there. I didn't drop the weight too much if I did though. I think as long as the load increases as it does during the week, then probably the important aspect during the depletion...

    My UD2.0 Experience...

Haha! I knew that was coming sooner or later. The depletion workouts are obviously different than HST that's for sure. You'll get used to it, but every week you will be bustin' your butt in the gym during the depletion phase. If I ate any nuts it would be in small amounts because I ate very...
