How Should I Incorporate 3s And Singles ?

You can also cut your high intensity volume and back fill it will some higher rep work. Back when I was just training deadlifts I would pull 4-5 heavy singles and then do a 2-3x15 at something at maybe 40-50%. Lots of blood flow for recovery and practice, and I could work on variations that...

    adpowah's training logs

I decided not to do an SD and just restarted my HST routine at the 15s. For lifts that I felt super strong at I just increased my training max by 15lbs, for lifts I felt good with I did 10, and the rest were just 5lbs. So it went like this: Deadlift +5 (430) Sumo +10 (375) Squat +15...

    Mojo Logging

@Mojo77 Christian's article on this is nice and a great way to stay lean while adding muscle as long as you are willing to exercise the discipline necessary. Regarding the 20-25lbs in first year, keep in mind that is in optimal conditions. Most of us have life style habits and requirements...

    Help Before I Begin Hst

This is something that I do so that when I get to my 100% I am actually at my 90% so that I can do multiple sets. If you don't do this you simply need to adjust as @Lol mentions and just do a single set (or cluster if you are dead set on the volume, but that sounds like torture). For myself I...

    Need Help,excersise Order

Off the top of my head, the lift order should be based off these three criteria; highest priority, most intense, largest muscle group. That will keep your workout focused on what you want to accomplish, allocate the energy there first and save you the most time of re-warming up. So I would say...

    adpowah's training logs

Today I will hit the 50% mark for my return to HST. So far the the lift diversity has really helped with my body composition, arms and back are getting bigger, stomach a little smaller. Overall the diet has been maintenance, I've had a couple of days weighing in at 198 but realistically 200...

    Size And Conditioning

@Renky yeah, I do the same. I usually do the navy formula to test because I am too lazy to buy calipers and learn to use them. It put me at 25-27% (electrical impedance puts me more in the lower 20s, neither of which are too accurate) which puts my FFMI at like 23ish. I had a long thing typed...

    adpowah's training logs

@Jester thanks, I do feel my pull is neurologically coming from the "top" too much, pushing the floor away is a great cue to help me out. I will probably open up my foot angle a little, maybe go slightly wider too. Regarding going 75%, your point makes sense and they likely won't be a...

    adpowah's training logs

@Jester Yeah the high rep deadlifts definitely push your conditioning more than anything. I am not sure they do anything for hypertrophy. I just try and focus on technique rather than just ripping out the reps.
