Do you need to shock with food too?

Your body doesn't care where it's basic nutrients come from. As long as you are getting everything your body needs in proper ratios you don't need to change anything. The body needs the same chemicals to function every day on a cellular level.

    alcohol effects on workout

If you're doing this almost every night then yes it will certainly hurt your gains. If you are talking about once a week or less, then probably not.

    visceral fat loss

My understanding is that visceral fat is more affected by diet changes, while sub q fat is affected by exercise. My understanding could be flawed though

repeating W/O (10RM block) Is it OK?

Your 5 RM is heavy enough that the RBE does not catch up for a while, that's why you can keep using it for a while. Just to be clear, you keep using your last 5 RM workout, your actual 5 Rep Max, for 2 weeks if you aren't doing negs. Between zig-zagging and repeating during a cycle, I think...

What do you guys think of German Volume Training

Maybe because the increase of the sarcoplasm that we are seeing is a temporary influx of fluid, not actual growth.

    2 year layoff

I wouldn't bother with finding your maxes. You've had a 2 year SD, so you'll get results with almost anything. I would just estimate your 15 rm, on the low side, use that to calculate your 2 weeks of 15s, and then adjust your 10's depending on how you're doing when you finish your 15's. Do the...

quick question bout grape juice (for creatine)

I'm not 100% sure but I don't think there is a problem with creatine and any acid from juice. http://www.hypertrophy-specific.com/cgi-bin....;t=1107

    Youngest bodybuilder ?

All of us except Ian I guess "Musta been on steds!" Ian, My point with the clothing example was the kid looked bigger than he actually was because he was so lean, just as a ripped guy at 170 will look larger than a soft guy at 180. (sorry, don't know the "stone" conversion)...

    Illness and HST

I went through something similar the day after xmas this year. I ended up just SDing again and starting over, because I was pretty weak after the illness. It ended up being a pretty good cycle after I started again, maybe because I was quite deconditioned, (over 2 weeks off).

Is there or isn't there an HST book?

We've heard that before Dan, do you have real news? A date? Also been wondering, will there be much in it that we long timers haven't heard here before?

    Youngest bodybuilder ?

Stop reading Flex, you'll have more faith in science I agree the kid was big for his age, never said he wasn't, but other kids are big for their age, he wasn't extremely large. There is always a range. My point is that he was mostly extremely lean. A lean person will look bigger than someone...

    HST ? for my mom

Well, my non-expert thought is that she does need to add some muscle and lose some fat. The skin may never tighten up enough at that age, but if she can put on some muscle and cut body fat she would look tighter.

    The most nutritious vegetable

Goal, don't sweat it. He was referring to kylemans reply to your post. I'll second his recomendation too

    Youngest bodybuilder ?

Ian you are wacked my friend. 1. You have NO PROOF that hes on steds. None, zero, zip, nada. 2. The kid was NOT THAT BIG. He was just very lean with good muscle development for his age. You don't need steriods to get lean, at any age. The people on that special who were saying he was as...

    Youngest bodybuilder ?

This may help explain this individual's muscle mass: http://www.sciencenews.org/articles/20040626/fob5.asp "Find the kid a sports agent. Researchers studying an unusually muscular tot have found that he has gene mutations similar to ones that produce abnormally brawny cattle and mice...

The gym is defo a catch22 situation

Well, if you're talking about like once a month or something, probably not a big deal. I just got the impression you were doing this a few times a week, (like I used to), which will certainly hurt your progress a lot. As I said, alcohol WILL reduce your testosterone levels.

    Varying frequency throughout cycle

I've done something similar during the 15s, first 3 days in a row on, one off, then 2 days in a row, one off, then my last 15's workout the next day. Worked pretty well and got my 15's out of the way quickly. I've used different variations of this at different times. The 15's really can take it...

    Incline Bench / Flat Bench....

Dips are considered to be the best at hitting the lower pecs, so the flat bench is somewhat unnecessary. Incline press will hit the upper pec more than the flat bench, just don't incline too much and turn it into a front delt exercise. I doubt you can use the same maxes as your flat bench, but...

The gym is defo a catch22 situation

If you're spending "all day" in the gym, or even more than 1.5 hrs, you're working out too much. Even if you're doing 2x a day am/pm that would be only about 2-3 hrs max. More is not better. If you're routinely drinking enough to make yourself puke that's also a problem. Another case...
