    Bottom line is you need to lose fat, and you can't spot reduce, you need to lose the fat from all over. You still seem to be fixated upon doing ab exercises to lose fat around your abs, as are many people, but it just does not work that way, unfortunately.

    Here's why I think it might not be optimal. Let's say that a muslces response to a certain weight is 100% the first time you use that weight. RBE is not an all or nothing event, so if you repeat that weight, you wouldn't get a 0% response vs. 100%, but you might get something like 20-30%...

    Are you doing any high rep burn sets during your 5's, or have you thought about doing a 15's workout once in a while to help with the joint issue? Or maybe just skip a workout to get some added recovery, I've certainly done that during the 5's.
