What to look for in a Multivitamin?

Another bump - good question, would like to know. I heard stuff like Centrum isn't very bioavailable, but it's better than nothing.

    Fish Oil

Bump - I'd like some clarification on this as well.

    Apple Cider Vinegar

http://www.hypertrophy-specific.com/cgi-bin/ib3/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=12;t=1063 http://forum.avantlabs.com/index.p....y239924 Voila! 2 tbsp before any meal that's 50+ grams of carbs. I started doing it, and I must say, it works. Less bloat (I guess), but definitely a more tight, pumped...

    Dirty Bulking

It's true that caloric intake decides if you gain weight or not, but there are other factors to consider. One should make sure they're eating "cleaner" foods, to give them more nurition. Fiber, vitamins and minerals come to mind.

how much whey protein to take VS meat protein?

No need for a balance. Actually, whey protein is the most bioavailable protein for your body. There's no difference between solid and liquids. The nutrients your body gets from them are both the same in the end. Fats, carbs and proteins.

    Is this normal?

I always found this interesting: http://www.worldshealthiestfoods.com/foodadvisor.php Spinach is one of the best veggies available.

    Digestive Enzymes

As long as you have a caloric surplus over the course of the day, it doesn't matter too much where the calories come from. Vicious often advocates more coming from protein rather than carbs, since it has less risk around the gut. Carbs are more easily metabolised, and if there is a caloric...

    Meal replacement shake

Eating north of 4000 calories, I still can't gain weight. Thusly, I've begun to use this shake a few times a day to choke down a fairly easy, very healthy 980 calories, 43 grams of fat, 84 carbs, and 72 protein, all for $1.54. Blend 2 scoops of ON 100% Whey Double Rich Chocolate (my personal...

    Seperating Carbs & Fats

Won't make much of a difference, Aaron? Does this mean the idea of seperating carbs and fats has some merit? There's nothing sensible about having protein in every meal, unless your meals are spread thin and you use quick digesting proteins, such as whey or soy. Even then, total caloric intake...

    The Da Vinci Deit

Interesting concept, but a bunch of bull. Just because it somehow matches to some golden ratio doesn't mean a thing.

    Dropping Arms!? Target Weight?

I agree that triples (often used by olylifters) don't induce much growth - as much as slightly higher rep ranges would, but I do know that the strength gained with lower reps will have some carryover, and that will allow one to use greater weights in the slightly higher rep ranges (5 reps always...

    Dropping squats?

Can you clear up what you mean by "postural muscles", dkm? How would squats help with that through systematic overload?

    Dropping squats?

Is it alright for someone to focus on their upperbody if it's lagging in both strength and mass, or does one need to squat and deadlift to actually increase the size of their arms, chest, and lats? I know the whole GH release is a fallacy, when it comes to heavy squatting, but some people still...

    shoes for squatting/deads

http://www.dynamic-eleiko.com/products/shoes.htm Expensive, but very stable. Awesome for olympic style squatting, deadlifting, even standing military presses. Give 'em a shot - they last a long time, provided you don't take them on rough floors too often.

    Dropping Arms!? Target Weight?

Ah, O&G, trying to convert people to your way of bulking? I concur, that you can easily add arm mass by focusing on increasing your heavy compound lifts: standing military presses, bench pressing, bentover rows (90 degree angle), pullups - increase the weight you move in these lifts and...

    Warm up sets for 5RM

He said he uses his bodyweight. I do the same basic thing, O&G. The only thing is, I would think a bit more of a warmup would be in store for heavier exercises like squats, especially when aiming for a 5 RM or something of that nature.
