"This really sucks since I do enjoy milk/yogurt/cottage cheese but unfortunately, if I consume any of these more than a day or two in a row it's really not worth the sore throat and congestion." I would guess so, baby a.

    Squat Form

Hamstring flexibility could be part of the issue, but the main thing people end up having trouble with (that I've spoken to, anyway) is ankle flexibility.

That little example made me picture Indiana Jones on a lengthy adventure, only to find his treasure was replaced with a mere banana.

    lower back issues

Chances are, it's a lack of conditioning. I have a highly physical job that involves a lot of low back work for three hours a night at high volumes, Monday through Friday. Coupled with this, I train heavily Monday, Wednesday and Friday. 5x5 squatting done 3x a week. Deadlifts and standing...

I didn't read the lengthy scientific explanation, but don't start to pick things apart, in regards to the tryptophan. Bananas and turkey aren't going to fatigure your CNS.

    squats

I love them. I look forward to them. I've dropped them at periods due to back issues (unrelated to lifting), and I don't feel nearly as driven. Squats are the opening to every session, on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I love the exercise like no other. Legs have always been my strong point, and...

    Squat Form

Make sure you go past parallel. Going to parallel will put undue stress on your knees. Stopping at that point and reversing your momentum is a huge strain. Go @$$ to floor with squats, which will transfer the load to your hips. They can sustain much heavier loads, and this is how the body was...

That battery analogy doesn't really make sense, if what all instruction manuals tell you about batteries is true. It's common knowledge to let a battery drain completely then fully charge it, rather than charging it every time you lose a little bit of total power. This is what I've always heard...

    Recommended Amount of Good Fats

www.walnuts.org You can find what walnuts have in them there. As for anything else, there are pretty nominal amounts, unless you supplement. Fresh fish (no canned stuff) will have omega 3's and such, but to consume a lot of them could be costly and lead to health risks (mercury poisoning...

    Reviews of Training Programs

Good info Jules, albeit short. October? Now, now, don't make us wait that long. Seriously though, any in depth information you could provide is appreciated, so just do your thing and try to come up with it as soon as possible. I'll await that tweaked 5x5, and then give it a shot after I run...

I'm doing it too. Been for seven weeks, my second cycle now. I know it works. I'd just like to see a comparison done with HST, especially when it's someone like vicious doing it - the guy knows his stuff. What does your setup look like, Bosox? There are many variations of the 5x5 routine.

    Reviews of Training Programs

Vicious, it would be awesome if you'd review Bill Starr's 5x5 Routine. I'll post a link to a huge thread over on EliteFitness that encompasses everything on the routine. I'd love to see what you have to say about the program, especially since all the empirical evidence points to it being awesome...

    Squats Are Bad?

No replies? If no one wants to check the thread, it's in regards to people claiming that squats can compress the spine, which certainly makes sense. I don't doubt they do this, but is it harmful?

How do you spend your free time?

I guess I'd better get used to reading and/or taking in something from the news a couple times a day. It's the only thing that'd keep me busy. Oddly, though, I love sleeping. Not 'cause I'm even tired. I just love dreams. I love escaping from reality. If death is really something like an...

The perfect ratio os O3:O6 is, ideally, 1:1. You should try to get as close to that as possibly. 1:3 is a good ratio to shoot for. Or was it 3:1? Eh, either way, both are necessary but you need them in as close to equal amounts as possible.

    Squats Are Bad?

http://www.elitefitness.com/forum/showthread.php?t=413131 Any merit to things like this? You know, squats being dangerous and harmful to the spine? And no, it's not one of those ridiculous attempts to find an excuse to stop squatting; I just want to know if claims such as this are legitimate...

    Ultimate Diet 2.0

Doesn't depletion help with supercompensation? Also, I didn't know there was a bulking version of UD 2.0. What's this about? Does it involve some kind've low-carb bulking, or what? Is it for lean mass, supposedly? I'd like to hear a bit about it.

    Male Enhancement

Yes, we are talking about it. I'm sick of seeing those god dang commercials. I figured they were scams, but I decided to ask because it crossed my mind. Now I know. Although, where is said thread on "techniques" for enlarging?
