Thanks Bryan -- I appreciate the info :)

    Essential and Non-essential amino acids

I was just speculating that if a particular brand of protein powder, when denatured, produces more EAA than other brands, then it might be considered "better" ... I think that is probably a bad way of looking at it, because (1) I have not a real good idea of what I am talking...

    Essential and Non-essential amino acids

Are all amino acids alike in effect? Maybe not ... Just an interesting abstract. ==================================== "Essential amino acids and muscle protein recovery from resistance exercise." Borsheim E, Tipton KD, Wolf SE, Wolfe RR. Metabolism Unit, Department of Surgery...

    15-Fold Increase in Insulin Activity

Sounds like one should drink tea after eating ... if you are bulking. This would be good especially after exercise, as muscles get preferentialg treatment, right?

    Countering Insulin Desensitizers

Hi, Jon [you wrote] > Just seems like everything I take -- especially EC and CLA -- > purportedly reduce insulin sensitivity. I know how you feel. Lyle's comment "your body hates you" seems apt here. > There are a lot of insulin sensitizers, mimickers and even &gt...

    Countering Insulin Desensitizers

I'd guess it does not matter much. If you wanted to be nitpicky, I think you should take the insulin sensitizer with post-exercise meal if you are cutting, and with pre-exercise meal if you are bulking. Here are my reasons. When you are bulking, you want all the nutrient to go to...

CLA & fat cell apoptosis revisited

Steve Thanks for the birthday notice! Yeah, big 40. lol, I am doing my facebuilding exercises everyday ... :) [you wrote] > After coming off a long cutting cycle and adding carbs back > in along with increased calories I have noticed I have put > on some fat around my low abs. This...

CLA & fat cell apoptosis revisited

Jon Stark: The isomer profile is as same as that of Tonalin (this was given in the full text of the article). Here is what Lyle had to say about the potential negative effects of CLA, from misc.fitness.weights (usenet). Someone asked Lyle if " does that (the study) contra-indicate...

    Potential harmful effects of CLA

Since I have been posting positive effects of CLA here, I thought I should post this as well, in case some future research reveals that CLA is harmful. Jon Stark raised a related issue in another thread, and I checked out the full article. The full research paper, on which I posted a thread...

CLA & fat cell apoptosis revisited

What to conclude? I think the safe thing is to stop the administration. Your liver is probably one of the most important organs in your body; you don't want to play roulette with it, until we have more information that indicates (1) there is no enlargement in human beings and (2) if so, such...

CLA & fat cell apoptosis revisited

Jon Stark: What they are saying is that there seems to be insulin resistance. In the full article they cite two reasons for this: (1) there is no place for the glucose to go (because fat cells have ... died) and (2) there is market decrease of GLUT4 in adipose tissues. Lyle had a...

CLA & fat cell apoptosis revisited

tkarrde Take home message for tonalin (CLA brand): (1) It helps you stay leaner (other research results support this, at about 6 g per day). (2) It may or may not help you in speeding up fat loss, so don't look for ECA-like effect. (3) It has a subtle...

CLA & fat cell apoptosis revisited

The following article is about mice cell apoptosis, with CLA administration. The article is interesting because (1) the experiments were _IN VIVO_ and (2) CLA was administered as part of mice's diet. ======================================== "Conjugated linoleic acid supplementation...

I think Lipoderm-y works ... I want to see a comparison between yohimburn and lipoderm-y (which works better?)

    anti-aromatase only for cutting?

Hi, Thanks for your reply and your offer to answer more questions. Since I am at the stage of collecting general information (as opposed to finding out the nitty gritty of doing a cycle), I decided to post here, rather than PMing you. Also, it might help others as well. I was thinking about...

    anti-aromatase only for cutting?

I was wondering if anyone tried using anti-aromatase _without_ steroids for cutting. If so, was it effective? I would be really for some feedback. Or is anti-aromatase only good for ending 'roid cycle?

    ECA stacks useful?

It is useful in the beginning, as body will adapt to it. One thing I don't like about it is that it makes you lose water initially. This gives the illusion that you are losing more fat than you actually are.
