Where to get Cod Liver Oil

seems like i found some at vitaminshoppe, 17oz for under $15! it was available at my local branch. is this stuff good? it didn't come refrigerated though. (it says to refrigerate after opening, and has an expiration date for next year - is this enough?)

the sun , does it affect training

no, you need the vit D. just that the dietary form i guess isn't really absorbed properly, according to what keeb cited.

    CLA dosage

if i'm already taking flax and fish oils, do i still need to take in 6-10g of CLA to get an effect from it? or could i stretch out my purchase with just 3 or 4g a day?

    ZMA

melatonin wore off for me pretty quickly. useless on me now. same with valerian and kava kava. (what were you side effects of melatonin? mine, i found that sometimes it would put me to sleep, only to wake up less than 4 hours later, unable to sleep again) looks like i have only zma...

    ZMA

so it really helps with sleep? i'm interested for that fact alone. is it worth it if i want to ensure a better sleep? (i often have trouble with sleep) will just getting generic zinc and magnesium really have the same effect and be cheaper? i'm already taking a multi though.

total cals can i just eat whenever ?

sorry, didn't mean to hijack this thread, if you feel i'm doing so. the other thread/poll was discussing the partitioning of meals throughout the day, and the warrior diet got brought up. since this thread is related, i decided to mention it. btw, the warrior diet supposedly accounts for...

total cals can i just eat whenever ?

however much you can stuff your stomach with ;) i guess as long as you get your caloric and macronutrient needs met, it won't matter too much. with gaining mass however, i'm pretty sure the "warrior diet" method discussed in the other thread would NOT be an optimal or desireable...

    prohormones.

yikes! did they return to normal size afterwards? that alone is a side effect that would keep me away...

    Eating more..

340g? how much do you weigh? even if you're 240lbs at 5% LBM there's no need for that much protein, imho. generally i think the amount of daily fiber you need should be proportional to your total caloric intake.

    FAQ re: post-WO

ok then, so it is bryan's writing. what is the final recommendation though? the main HSN articles on pre-/post-WO nutrition still say to have carbs AND protein.

    Timing of workouts and meals

again, i don't think it's a mass-gaining diet at all. the claims of muscle gain on this diet are gradual at best, i think. i'm just saying it seems like an interesting - and perhaps convenient - option for fat loss or maintenance at the expense of maybe some minimal muscle loss. it's not just...

    Pre-workout Nutrition

olive oil is mostly omega-9 monounsaturated fats. it's healthy, but has almost NO EFA's (n-6 and n-3)

    Timing of workouts and meals

yeah, i don't think it's a "mass-gaining" diet at all. but that interview does go into how he thinks the usual "bulk, then cut" cycles of bodybuilders is taxing on the system, particularly internal organs, esp. combined with eating numerous times in one day. i'm...

    Timing of workouts and meals

interesting you mention the warrior diet, keebler. i've been intrigued by it for a little while now, after having heard about it from one of mike mahler's articles on a vegetarian site. but i've never had the balls to give it a try in conjunction with a fitness regimen. i more or less was...

from the diet and nutrition FAQ, blade's fifth post down, titled "gaining muscle mass" huh? what's the deal with that? who's right, then?

    Eating more..

"small rocks"? maybe you have a tolerance for that, but to me that's at least borderline constipation. i've had a couple doctors tell me that a healthy stool should be relatively soft. i should know, cuz when it's not, my roids flare up seriously though, my brother used to be a...

    keto advice please!

yeah, the first couple days on low-carb diets sees a huge weight loss that is mostly in the form of water and glycogen. please don't be deceived by that. what everyone else here says is true. there's nothing magical about keto in that any fat-loss diet is simply a calorie deficit, given that...

What is the status of Primer/Driver

sorry to hear about those troubles, bryan. would it not be prudent of me to ask at this time if the vanilla flavor is still in the works?

    Eating more..

eek, that's no good, thedon. are you getting enough fiber and drinking enough water? i've been there before, believe me. (also sometimes too much fiber will constipate you as well. it's a balance)

    Androsten(e)dione

1--> what has been the latest on the side effects though? my acne was once bad enough to consider it, but because at the time there was a possible link with suicide/depression being publicized (and i myself not being all too emotionally healthy then either), we opted out. plus, i think i...
