    neural training and hypertrophy

Not sure if this is best posted here or in the general forum. I have the feeling that there is logic behind this question, but for some reason I'm having trouble figuring out what it is. :D I have what I think would be called low exercise tolerance. I injure easily (true in endurance...

    Not-so-strategic deconditioning

Thanks, Bryan. I've been going really slow and letting myself stretch out. The lactate accumulation is insane. I never thought I'd say it's good to feel nauseated again, but it is!

    Not-so-strategic deconditioning

Thanks, Scott and Edziu. I think you're right, and I'll follow your advice, Edziu, just starting 20% off my previous 1RM (I don't want to test them just yet) and going from there, skipping the negs. My more general question was how long it takes for connective tissue to decondition. Anyone know...

    Not-so-strategic deconditioning

So I got a puppy, and bought a house, and work was hell... And the next thing I knew six months had gone by with no workouts. I'm prone to joint injuries, so I want to start slowly and intelligently, and not move up too fast. I've been thinking of starting with some very easy 15s for several...

Good post, Jules. I saw PBL's pharmaceutical-grade fish oil capsules on the Netrition Web site, too. Does anyone know anything about them? I'm skeptical of labeling by companies I've never heard of. Are they trustworthy? Will I actually get the high concentration of EPA listed on the label? [I...

    Topical lipolytic aids. . .

Steve, did you experience any side effects with the transdermal Y? I tried it orally once, at a relatively low dosage (just over .2 mg/kg), and I thought my heart was going to jump out of my chest. I also felt chilled and nauseated--not worth it.

    What are 'necessary' supplements?

As others have said, in general it's much better to focus on your basic diet rather than expend a lot of money on supplements to get an "edge" that is virtually insignificant, all things considered. As I get older, I realize all the ways I have wasted time by applying energy in the...

    leptin

Bryan wrote an introductory article, too, at: http://www.musclemonthly.com/article....ork.htm I remember reading on M.F.W. that Elzi Volk recommended a slightly more frequent refeed (i.e., 24 hours 1x/wk for men at 15%BF, cf. every other week in Bryan's article). You can find the thread by...
