i would like to utilize a heavy db incline bench but i have problems getting them into place when they get heavier. i use the normal put them on your knees and kick them up method. does anyone have any tips??
For me, it sometimes works better to swing them up rather than trying to kick them up with my knee. I sit in an upright position and do sort of a clean/cheat-curl sort of thing. Then as I swing them up I can simply lean back into position on teh incline bench.
Granted, that's not much different than using your knees, but for me it works up to about 80-90 pounds or so.
There was also a thread that included reference to these things you can hang from a bar, on which you can hang the DBs. They're called Power Hooks and you can see them here: http://www.body-builders.com/month.htm
Disclaimer- I'm not a shill for these guyus- just trying to be helpful!

I have the power hooks and find them VERY beneficial. I workout alone in my basement and have been using them for the better part of a year. I first saw them in this article http://www.cbass.com/Powerhooks.htm
